I began my career in claims processing, where I developed a strong understanding of workflows, systems, and how people learn their roles. As I dove into training opportunities, I found myself increasingly drawn to the work of helping others build clarity, confidence, and capability.
That shift marked the point where Learning and Development became my professional home. What started with training delivery grew into a broader focus on learning systems, governance, and ways of working that support teams at scale. L&D continues to shape how I approach problem-solving, collaboration, and meaningful change.
Humana, 2025 – Present
My work at Humana has focused on strengthening and formalizing the learning ecosystem through governance, strategy, and product ownership. Joining during an active LMS migration, I identified gaps and single points of failure and led the design of new governance processes to address them.
I created the governance framework, managed the associated projects, and developed and delivered the training required to support adoption. Acting as a product subject matter expert, I partnered closely with cross-functional teams to align processes, clarify ownership, and establish sustainable ways of working that continue to support the platform at scale.
By combining structured governance with human-centered design, I enabled teams to confidently adopt new tools, practices, and ways of working. See my current job responsibilities below.
Coordinated large-scale content migration by auditing, validating audiences, and relocating hundreds of assets to improve discoverability and accuracy.
Directed change management activities for LMS decentralization, designing governance and systems training for 43 training associates and 100+ tier one LMS support staff.
Architected and launched LMS governance frameworks, including intake, quality, evaluation, and content lifecycle standards adopted across teams.
Authored core operational assets (Training Guidebook, Content Quality Checklist, LMS Governance Playbook) that established enterprise-wide consistency and accountability.
Founded and led a Community of Practice (CoP) on Ways of Working, hosting monthly sessions and building a SharePoint hub with 200+ unique viewers.
Created a centralized reporting dashboard and self-service resource hubs, enabling faster decision-making and reducing support dependency.
Standardized training request intake via a consultation checklist, reducing missed requirements, permissioning issues, and delivery delays; adopted by multiple teams.
Designed a Level 1 evaluation framework enabling repeatable measurement and modification of training effectiveness.
Implemented structured issue tracking to document, prioritize, and resolve platform and training concerns transparently.
Elevance Health, 2000 – 2024
My career foundation was built at Elevance Health, where I began working at age 17 while still in high school. Over more than two decades, I progressed through a wide range of roles, intentionally leveraging opportunities for growth, skill development, and increasing responsibility.
It was during this chapter that I discovered my passion for Learning and Development in 2006 and began evolving from an individual contributor into a learning professional focused on enablement, systems thinking, and organizational impact. The experiences and lessons from this period continue to inform my approach to learning strategy, governance, and change leadership today.
